ANALOG LASER MODULE

The ALM3 is a series of 1310nm DFB laser modules in industry standard butterfly package, for use in the transmission of broadband analog signals. Their high linearity makes them especially suitable for CATV broad- and narrowcast applications. All critical components, including optical isolator, TEC, thermistor, laser, and monitor photodiode are hermetically sealed in a butterfly package. Available in output powers from 6-15 dBm.

PIGTAILED COAXIAL LASER MODULES

Lower cost alternatives to the ALM3s, the PLMR3 series modules incorporate highly linear MQW DFB lasers emitting at 1310 nm, hermetically sealed in industry standard coaxial packages with single mode fiber pigtails integrated with optical isolators. These lasers are especially suited as uncooled, low cost light sources for analog CATV return path. A similar module, PLMR5, which incorporates a DFB laser at 1550 nm is also available.

TRANSISTOR OUTLINE LASER MODULES

These are linear 1310 and 1550 nm MQW DFB laser diodes in TO-56 packages. They are intended for customers who prefer to build their own fiber coupled devices. The TLMA3 and TLMA5 are suitable for RF over fiber, CDMA, and CATV return path applications.

PIGTAILED PHOTODIODE DIODES

The PPDA series modules incorporate highly linear photodiodes sensitive to communications wavelengths ranging between 1100 nm and 1650 nm. These photodiodes are hermetically packaged in industry standard coaxial packages with single mode fiber pigtails. These modules are especially suited for analog CATV intermediate and long reach applications, as well as higher bandwidth satellite and FTTX networks. PPDD series module is similar but optimized for digital applications.

FABRY-PEROT LASER MODULES

The FPMR3 series module incorporates a linear multi-quantum well (MQW) laser emitting at 1310 nm, hermetically sealed in an industry standard coaxial package with a single mode fiber pigtail. This laser is especially suited as an uncooled, low cost light source for analog CATV return path.
